I've had an on-again off-again relationship with bullet journaling. As the pandemic started to ebb, and hybrid work became the new normal, I needed a better method to capture my thoughts and todos.
Why bullet journaling?
This is a good question, but I should have started with a better question: what do I hope to accomplish with a bullet journal. Without a stated purpose (or a system), I wasn't going to be successful. This is my strongest suggestion for anyone trying to start a bullet journal practice: decide what you want to accomplish.
My journal journey started because I kept losing track of tasks and was unable to effectively keep notes on all the meeting threads. Bullet journal has helped me in this immensely.
I also wanted to reinforce some good practices (like working out, drinking water, and blogging) so I incorporated some tracking pages to help with that too.
So this is the beginning. I'll show you what I've done and how I've incorporated bullet journaling into my professional and personal life. I'll also do it without obnoxious amounts of affiliate links or outrageous hand-drawn graphics (who has time for that?!)
Best Regards,
